Sunbeam Country Bakehouse Manual

Posted on by admin

This machine is a disappointment because I tried it out twice using the French setting for French bread recipe, but after the full baking cycle, I discovered it had stopped at the dough stage both times! I had to take out the dough and form smaller rolls manually, baking at 175 deg centigrade for about 30 mins, yet both times, the loaf turned out hard and dry! Could it be (which I think is unlikely) because I had substituted the original ingredients: eg milk for water, margarine for oil, half bread flour instead of all plain flour? I also added choc chips as fillings. I've read other customers' reviews/questions, but am surprised that all Sunbeam could do was to advise them to dial a certain number to report the problems/feedbacks/complaints. On the other hand, the only constructive replies/ suggestions have come from concerned readers who are not even obligated to reply! I feel the staff should at least make an effort to approach their own (relevant) departments to investigate and find out the reasons for the failures reported on this website, before getting back to the customers!

This is what we in Singapore refer to as No wrong door policy as far as customer service is concerned! Hence, I look forward to receiving a satisfactory reply or solution (from Sunbeam) to my above question/problem and many other similar ones which have gone unanswered so far. I had another Sunbeam Bread maker prior to this one, and made lots of good bread. In the year since I replaced it with the Compact, I have not had a single loaf of bread cook properly.

They rise up then collapse when the cook cycle starts, every single time, regardless of what recipe I'm using. I follow the instructions exactly. In addition, the display while cooking is confusing to the point of being meaningless. The old one just showed the time until bread time (what else what you want to know?). The new one just seems to show random times nobody cares about. Seriously Sunbeam, you've blown your good reputation with me.

After originally having a Breville Bakers Oven, something that was scorned on Product Review(and rightfully so), and having it die, I searched these reviews for my next Breadmaker purchase. And this was it. I originally wanted a Panasonic but they seemed difficult to find and buy, so I went with this one as it was cheap and available. Well I didn't do my homework too well, and after looking back through the reviews saw where I'd gone wrong. Two things were missing, an offset timer and a loaf size option, something the Breville had. Loaves now have to be set with the option of me being around to remove them when they're done, otherwise the bread goes soggy.

And no matter what volume of ingredients you put in, with no size option, baking, kneading and rising are all the same. Small loaves work well, large loaves are too dense. Sony Ta-f246e Manual. The kneading blade is perfect and leaves only a slight hole, something it has ten times over the Breville whose kneading blade almost destroyed the bottoms of loaves. But apart from that, I think its a step sideways and back rather than forward.

Recipe times are also out, stating 3:30 hours actually taking 4:30 hours, something that took some getting used to especially when you have to be around. And the with gap, grooves and a kneading blade that takes a lot of patience and fiddling to remove, cleaning the pan to a spotless level of quality is rather difficult. Straight off the bat, I wasn't impressed with this appliance especially when my wholewheat function didn't work either. I took it back to where I purchased it, but they said it was under manufacturers warranty and I'd have to speak with them.

Mozart Lounge Rapidshare. I never got through on Sunbeams customer service line, and their contact feature on their website always had server issues when I'd try to submit my complaint. In the end I just lived with it, and bake everything in French now anyway.

+ Brilliant machine! Just got mine and I have used it at least once a day to make a variety of breads! I have 5 young kids and we go through mountains so cutting the cost by baking my own! So easy to use, just add ingredients and switch it on and forget about it until it beeps at completion!

The kids love the chocolate bread recipe included in the manual! Saving so much money and having lots of fun experimenting. There is really nothing I dislike about this appliance / model. It is so simple and no annoying fancy electronics panel that I have to 'learn' - a real plus! Every loaf comes out like the baker's every time without fail and for a fraction of the cost!
