I'm near caving but saw the reviews here-thanks guys. My real interest would be Topolino and the downloads. Is it really worth the price tag? BTW I've found that the old stock US CDs are by and large probably better than the UK vinyl I have. The 12' eps and singles I have (both Porky and not) are maybe a touch warmer and more open but have their own deficiencies. The Porky Spooky 2x10 is a downgrade from the cd due primarily to the pressing quality and the fact that the cd is so fantastic. The 10' is warmer but noisy and not quite as detailed as the CD.

I do find the Lovelife clear UK LP to be an improvement over the CD but it's not leaps and bounds better. Count me in as another Split desirer-er.

Though I have heard the USA presses weren't as good as the UK ones. I'm near caving but saw the reviews here-thanks guys. My real interest would be Topolino and the downloads. Click to expand.Probably not worth it in your case since the consensus seems to be that the original UK vinyl is better sounding and has better packaging. The completist in me won out and I bought it for the demos and because it is a nice looking set on it's own (although the quality of those magical 4AD years can't be beat when it comes to presentation). I'll probably never bother playing the vinyl from this set to be honest! The demos are cool but not $100 cool. I was never impressed with any version of Topolino to be honest. They had hordes of b-side material from that final album but the album itself is my least favorite and the b-sides weren't up to the quality of the earlier ones imo. Blood Bananas Chiquita In Colombia Case Study Pdf Format more. 'Gala' is such a letdown when held next to the gorgeous 1990 UK vinyl. The white frame on 'Lovelife'? Don't you think it looks like a budget release? No idea what they were thinking. It's okay if you are 28, have zero Lush vinyl and want clean copies for a reasonable price. But it doesn't really live up to the label's aesthetic.
