I just installed a windows 8.1 64bit from scratch and noticed that all the apps that did not ask me for a bit preference, installed 32 bit instead. The reason for this is their websites detect that the Internet Explorer used to reach them is actually a 32bit version. Tiberian Sun Patch 2.04. A 64bit Windows installer, puts a 32 bit IE by default.
